I am honored and privileged to present to you my good friend and amazing brother in Christ new mixtape titled "Black Cloud". I did the project managing, mixing and even produced 3 songs on here. So I know the hard work that went into it and I've seen him grow during the creation process. Do yourself a favor and download this you won't regret it. Its edifying and encouraging,

Da' T.R.U.T.H. Love Hope War Review
Da' T.R.U.T.H. Love Hope War Review
Few have said it, including myself, that this is really Da' T.R.U.T.H.'s comeback album. "The Whole Truth" was really a redemption and confession album while this one was back to his old roots in terms of bringing something weighty. Prior to listening to this I was really afraid that this wouldn't live up to his previous albums or that it was time for him to hang the mic up...but after listening to this that was clearly not the case!
The album starts off with "D.O.S (Death of Silence)". In my opinion a good intro always determines whether the album is going to be good or not and yes this one was great. Its almost like T.R.U.T.H. reinvented himself! Songs like "Where Was I" and "J.I.F.E" make you want to go out on the front line and tell the world about Jesus.
Da' T.R.U.T.H. really impressed me with his content on here. The content is really what makes this album what it is. "Real Love" and "Ugly Love" are filled with great content and like I said above its like he reinvents himself! In all aspects he reinvents himself, sound, lyrics, content, flow/delivery, in all aspects!
"Hope" and "The G.O.A.T." are some dope bangers for the 808 heads out there but they do not lack content/creativity. Both songs are dope and proclaim an amazing message.
The album ends with the 3 most important songs("Peace Talks", "Table Talk", and "What About Love"). These 3 songs really dive into the "Love Hope War" concept and they are easily my 3 favorite songs. The most controversial song to me is "Table Talk" and I will be doing a blog on that song soon.
If I had to give this album a rating it would be 9. Though there is only 12 songs on here you can tell that he spent a lot of time on each song to make them excellent. I may sound biased because Da' T.R.U.T.H. is one of my favorite artists but that's not the case. If you are like me and pay attention to the little things about music and the creation of songs, you'll understand where I'm coming from.
So there you have it. There is my review for "Love Hope War". I encourage everyone to get it and listen to it. Da' T.R.U.T.H. is back like he never left!

MY NEXT PROJECT
THE NAME OF MY NEXT PROJECT AND WHAT TO EXPECT:
TITLE:
The name of my next project will be titled "Lamentations". I use the word "project" because its going to be far from a "mixtape" but not really an "album".
CONCEPT:
"He said, "I came naked from my mother's womb, and I will be naked when I leave. The LORD gave me what I had, and the LORD has taken it away. Praise the name of the LORD!" - Job 1:21
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted" - Matthew 5:4
I will go more in depth with the concept as the months go by but, in a nutshell all things are temporary...ALL THINGS. The Lord will allow things to DIE in our life for our growth. With this project its more so of me mourning over the things that were near to me that DIED. It also shows that there was comfort in it becuase it was for my good and my growth!
It gets more in depth...but I'll leave it alone....for now
WHAT TO EXPECT:
When it comes to sound, expect more of an acoustic influenced sound. Lots of live instrumentation and sampled music. When it comes to content, expect a lot of relatable topics and cold hard truth.
WHEN TO EXPECT AND WHY I'M ANNOUNCING SO EARLY.
Lord willing, I'm expecting this to drop in late August/early September. The reason I'm announcing it so early is the same reason is not a "mixtape". There's going to be so much that goes in with this project, not just music. In March, expect devotionals that relate to this project from me and my team. Also, you'll be seeing video commentaries/testimonies on various topics that all lead up to the first single that drops in June!
Keep me in your prayers!
Until next time, PEACE!

Planet Mars 2013
Planet Mars 2013
Like I said, Planet Mars will be back up in 2013. There's a lot of things you can expect from it in this year. Not only will I continue to do album reviews(Skrip & Sho Baraka are next), and artist interviews(Dillon Chase and/or Anatome are next) but I will be doing devotionals.
Also, I will add a few extra "pages/sections" to the main page so it's more than just the average blog. You will be getting the full Planet Mars experience as far as my preference in music and my thoughts on some broad issues.
Me and my team will be meeting up from week to week to help me with this plus give me ideas.
Until next time. Peace and God Bless

Social Club "Misfits" Review
The Yes, No's & Maybe So's of Social Club's "Misfits" Album
First of all, let me start out by saying I was skeptical about this album. Prior to hearing this I heard stuff from them on Alex Faiths album. That is the only time I really heard anything from these two. They impressed me enough to anticipate a release from them. Once I saw the tracklist consisted of 10 songs I was a little worried this would be a flop. So I didn't listen to whatever leaks they put out. I wanted to hear the whole album as if it were fresh and new with no prior knowledge. I must say this exceeded my expectations.
1. Misfits (Intro) [MAYBE SO] - Lack of lyrics kind of bummed me out, but the beat is bangin' and the small amount of vocals you hear is catchy. Pretty funny intro.
2. STRT TRBL [YES] - Dope lyricism right here. I love the beat and the hook is really catchy, simple, and memorable.
3. Monte Cristo (Fernie's Theme) [YES] - Another dope record right here. Hook is catchy, lyrics are creative, what more could you ask for? At this point of the album I was already sucked in.
4. Glow In The Dark (feat. Gawvi) [YES] - Love the dubstep/electronic feel to it. That's usually not my cup of tea, but I'm feeling it on this record. Another thumbs up from me.
5. S&G (feat. Rey King) [YES] - For my all my Reggaeton Cristiano fans out there, you'll know what I mean when I say I haven't heard from Rey King since the Triple Seven song "Call Me Crazy". I don't know if hes been on anything else. If he has let me know, but anyways this is yet another dope record right here. I like the dark/honest feel to it. That's what I really like about Social Club, their honesty.
6. Venetian Blinds (feat. Tragic Hero) [NO] - This is the first song I'm not feeling. I can't get into this one. I find myself getting bored throughout the listening.
7. Chocolate Bobka [YES] - This is one of my two favorite songs on here. This has got to be the most face melting song I've heard ALL year. So dope I made it my ringtone! If this track doesn't set you off, I don't know what will!
8. Wolfie Pack (feat. Anthony Rose) [MAYBE SO] - First of all, "The Hangover" sample from the beginning made me laugh. I'm so glad someone finally used it, but unfortunately this isn't one of my favorites. It's a dope record, but it's definitely not on major repeat.
9. Roller Coaster (feat. Butta P & Roslyn) [YES] - This is my other favorite song! I can relate to this one like no joke. The beat is very well done. This an overall dope track right here.
10. Screwed Up Kids [MAYBE SO] - I like the lyricism from most of the artists on here, but sometimes I just get bored with this song. Which is unfortunate seeing the artists who are featured. I still would recommend this song to everyone though. You don't want to miss it.
6 Yes's, 1 No, and 3 Maybe So's gives this project a big YES. I recommend this to anyone who's looking for something new in CHH. Much love to these brothers!

Thi'sl Free From The Trap Review
Quality Over Quantity: Thi'sl Free From The Trap Review
The Yes's Of This Album
-Hard hitting beats with great variety so everyone can enjoy
-Real in-depth lyrics arguably some of the best we've seen from Thi'sl
-He really knows how to make a "song". Every song is listenable if even you're generally not a fan of the music style.
-The fact that there is 11 songs and it still feels like a lot of music gets a thumbs up from me.
The No's Of This Album
-After seeing multiple interviews I was under the impression this would have an autobiography feel to it. I was kind of disappointed that this wasn't. I guess I have to wait for the book.
-Although I love when Thi'sl goes outside the box I still love that hard hitting gritty style he brings. I wish he did more of that on this album.
-More rappers featured on here would've been nice. I don't mind the singers but he needed more than just one other rapper featured on here. And the song that did have an other rapper(Tedashii) was just average.
-I know I said "Quality Over Quantity" and I said I like the fact that 11 songs still felt like a lot, but at least 3 more songs would've been nice.
Songs I MUST Mention
-"Baby Mommas & Broken Hearts" & "Motivation" are probably the best Thi'sl songs I've ever heard. I must say they are on super repeat.
So there you have it. This album is really a hit/miss in my book. I really like it and I sort of dislike it at the same time. Its a dope album and I encourage everyone to get it, but I expected more.
